Marcus Piper, lead creative at Pol Oxygen [poloxygen.com], has quietly launched an online magazine called Blank [marcuspiper.com/blank_1]. The concept is not hard to understand… One page. A hand-picked selection of quality links. Updated quarterly. Your quality pitstop for retooling on the internet highway.

There was a happier time when water was clean, people were neat and the air was pure. Sceptical? You need to talk to the folks at Duram [duramproducts.com.au]. Stop by their website for some of the strangest pictures you’ll ever see including the post-apocalyptic ‘Athena’ Man below [news.bbc.co.uk]. (Editor’s Note: my fave is the yellow storm-trooper style ‘mask’ the guy is wearing in the pic with the teddy bears and flowers — too crappy quality to post here but well worth a look).

Scratch and Sniff’s not dead, it just smells a bit funny. Originally created in the early 80s as teaching aids to reward clever students, Scratch and Sniff stickers became a bit of a phenomenon ‘back in the day’ and lead to all manner of bubblegum scented malarkey (remember pens with scented ink). Although now looking pretty dated, their designs remain a legacy of a decade when the world went day-glo. Bubbledog has a pretty comprehensive archive of sticker designs you can check out [bubbledog.com/sns] (some of which are shown here). You could even pick some sheets up from Bubbledog’s eBay page.

Dig ’em out, join up [facebook.com/sleeveface] and get Sleeve Facing [sleeveface.com]!

Just a quick link to something that caught my eye. They’re calling it Desktopography [desktopography.net]. It’s kind of like stoner art for your desktop. Sounds dodgy but is actually kind of cool.

If there’s any website that makes us green, it’s The Antenna Research Facility [theantenna.org]. It’s just had a change of format… well, look and feel anyway. It’s now sort of pink… and green. See what you think of the new look and have a perusal of some of the best design related content on the wwweb.
Update A message via email from the mad scientists at The Antenna Research Facility: “It’s salmon and teal! Our fondest sentiments to the Boicozine team - some of the best shadows in the darkness of the internet…” Shucks, thanks. We’re blushing!

Looking for a chilling experience to bother your brain. Then Vent Haven is the place for you (the Museum not the event although both look equally as eerie). Two words: Ventriloquist Dummies… loads of them. Almost 700 of the fuckers at the last count. And you don’t have to go all the way to Kentucky to experience the icy chill of a room full of retired ‘vent figures’ just pop along to the Vent Haven Museum website. You can nominate the ‘Figure of the Month’, visit the convention website and make sure you don’t miss the ‘Tour Tape’ in the Multimedia section. It makes the whole thing worthwhile. Final Word before you scurry off to check it out (go on, you know you want to), appartently at night, in the dark, when all the visitors have left and the staff have gone home, you hear the sound of the dummie’s joints shifting and even the occasional mouth snapping shut… bbrrrrr! Visit the [venthavenmuseum.net] online for more information.
